Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Selects Marisa Jeffrey O’Sullivan as 2019 Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year

The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers selected Amy Stewart Law associate Marisa Jeffrey O'Sullivan as the recipient of the Outstanding Young Lawyer Award for 2019.
This award marks the second prestigious professional recognition that Ms. O’Sullivan has received this year. She was also selected to Texas Rising Stars published by Thomson Reuters, which recognizes exceptional young attorneys in Texas—a distinction bestowed upon only 2.5 percent of the state’s attorneys.
“Marisa’s dedication to her work and her profession is at an impressive level very rarely seen in attorneys her age,” said firm founder and managing principal Amy Elizabeth Stewart. “Her wisdom reaches beyond her years, so it comes as no surprise that she should be recognized by our legal community and her peers.”
Ms. O’Sullivan is active in both firm and professional leadership. She also serves on the board of directors of both the Dallas Women Lawyers Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. She has published several articles on insurance law and presented to both in-house counsel and bar organizations on various insurance and litigation topics, including cyber insurance, e-discovery, and the tripartite relationship.
In order to qualify for the DAYL’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, nominees must have been 36 years of age or younger as of June 1, 2018 and must be licensed to practice law in Texas and a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas.
After having met the minimum qualifications, an awards committee considers all outstanding qualities of the nominees: exemplified professional proficiency, service to the profession, and service to the community.
