Welcome, Katie Glenn

After working with the Amy Stewart Law team and its clients on a contract basis for the last year, Katie Glenn recently made it official in 2017, joining the firm as Of Counsel. Katie’s broad insurance coverage experience and robust litigation background have significantly increased the firm’s capacity to serve corporate policyholders in need of smart, business-savvy insurance advice and results-oriented representation in insurance claims and coverage disputes.    

A relentless advocate, Katie approaches each client engagement with the fierce determination and focus that helped her win three NCAA swimming championships and set six world records in U.S. Masters Swimming, says firm founder Amy Elizabeth Stewart. 

“Katie anticipates clients’ needs, understands their priorities, and gets to the point,” Amy says. “Coupled with her ability to simplify complex issues, Katie’s work on behalf of insurance companies early in her career helps her communicate effectively with the opposition and implement creative solutions for policyholder clients.”

Born and raised in Dallas, Katie was previously a name partner in California’s Lautmann & Glenn LLP, where she represented clients in all aspects of state and federal litigation. She also previously practiced at California’s Armstrong & Associates, LLP, where she handled maritime litigation for vessel owners, and Dallas-based Cooper & Scully, P.C., where she handled a variety of insurance litigation matters on behalf of insurance companies, as well as professional liability defense litigation.

Katie earned her law degree, cum laude, at Texas Tech University School of Law in 2005 after graduating with a B.A., cum laude, in economics and public relations from Southern Methodist University in 1999.
