Amy Stewart Law Lands Veteran Insurance Coverage Lawyer Beverly Godbey

We are pleased to announce that Beverly B. Godbey has joined Amy Stewart Law as Principal. Before joining Amy Stewart Law, Ms. Godbey was most recently with Dallas’ Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP, where she was a partner and co-chair of the firm’s litigation practice.

A trial lawyer with more than three decades of experience, Ms. Godbey represents corporate policyholders from a wide variety of industries in a full spectrum of insurance issues, from coverage disputes and insurance recovery to insurance policy reviews and analysis.

“Beverly and I have known each other for many years; she is smart, takes incredible care of her clients, and is a top-tier insurance advocate,” says firm founder Amy Elizabeth Stewart. “Her sterling reputation is well-deserved, and she immediately enhances our bandwidth for serving policyholders facing complex insurance coverage issues.”

Ms. Godbey is admitted to practice before state courts in Texas and Georgia, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas; U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia; and U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fifth, Eighth and Eleventh Circuits.

She has been included in D Magazine’s list of the Best Lawyers in Dallas, The Best Lawyers in America, and the Texas Super Lawyers list.

Ms. Godbey earned her law degree at Tulane University School of Law and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, at Southern Methodist University.
